Dr. Jaime Le, MD, is a dedicated and highly skilled physician specializing in Respirology, Sleep Medicine, and Obesity Management.  As a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine since 2018, Dr. Le has become a respected speaker, expert advisor, and thought leader in the field of obesity management.


With years of experience treating thousands of patients suffering from sleep apnea related to obesity, Dr. Le recognized the need for a more permanent solution beyond CPAP machines and dental devices. This inspired him to develop a comprehensive weight management approach to address the root cause of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, offering patients a path to lasting health and improved quality of life.


 Dr. Le co-developed the HOW2HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) program, a value-based, non-biased weight loss initiative that empowers clients to achieve sustainable results through an inside out, top down approach.


In his role at HOW Clinics, Dr. Le provides:

  • Medical Monitoring: Ensuring that patients’ progress is closely monitored to optimize safety and effectiveness throughout their weight management journey.
  • Prescription Oversight: Evaluating the need for anti-obesity medications and prescribing the most appropriate treatments to support each client’s unique needs.
  • Ongoing Support: Collaborating with the HOW Clinics team to provide clients with the comprehensive support they need for long-term success.


Samantha Upshall, RPN, CBE -Obesity Specialist Coach

Samantha Upshall is a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse, Certified Bariatric Educator, and Chronic Disease Management Health Coach. With a diploma in Psychological Therapies, Samantha brings an energetic, holistic approach to supporting clients on their journey to better health.


As a co-developer of the HOW2HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) and HOW2TRIM programs alongside Dr. Jaime Le, Samantha has played a key role in creating successful medical weight management programs. These programs have positively impacted hundreds of individuals, helping them achieve their goals and embrace optimal health.


As an Obesity Specialist, Samantha plays a vital role in supporting clients through personalized, evidence-based care by:


  • Educating Clients About Obesity: Providing in-depth knowledge about obesity, its root causes, and its impact on overall health. Samantha empowers clients to make informed decisions about their treatment options.
  • Developing Individualized Plans: Collaborating with clients to design personalized care plans that address their unique needs and goals, incorporating lifestyle, behavioral, and medical interventions.
  • Guiding Anti-Obesity Medication Use: Offering expert advice on anti-obesity medications, answering questions, and facilitating consultations with HOW Clinics Obesity Specialist physicians to evaluate and organize prescriptions when appropriate.
  • Behavioral Coaching: Using her expertise in psychological therapies to help clients identify and overcome barriers, manage emotional eating, and adopt healthier behaviors.
  • Promoting Holistic Wellness: Addressing key areas like stress management, sleep hygiene, physical activity, and nutrition to ensure a comprehensive approach to weight management.
  • Empowering Clients for Long-Term Success: Equipping clients with tools, knowledge, and strategies to sustain their progress and achieve optimal health.

Filiz Isabela Ziya - Weight Management Health Coach

Filiz Isabela Ziya brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to our team. As a Naturopathic Health Practitioner specializing in Orthomolecular Medicine, Filiz’s expertise extends across multiple modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT Plus), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and targeted support for digestive disorders and weight management.


As a Weight Management Health Coach, Filiz plays an essential role in guiding clients toward sustainable health and well-being by:
